Weeping Words

Today I tore out the weathered pages

To make room for new faces

I wept and mourned the more I tore

I must admit

It felt like I’d killed my creations

Sending them to suffer as they silently slumbered

In a folder I folded the pages I penned

I wept for the weathered pages again
