Our Lives

In response to my post Run With Me , my ever so beautiful wife wrote a poem.

Our Lives to Be Lived

Together we ran away
To that lovely place so far
Where worries are few
And the days so fine
I was yours and you were mine

We lived and loved
Like no two ever have
Our souls conjoined
Made one at last

We ran and strolled
Through trees and fields
We swam and played
In brooks and pools

We laid in the tall grass
Counting the stars
We loved all night
In each other’s arms

We never looked back
On those rough years
We looked to the future
And laughed and lived.
